The Avicultural Society of Australia Inc Photographic Competition CONDITIONS OF ENTRY |
1. Eligibility Only members of the Avicultural Society of Australia Inc. may enter. All entries must be the original work of the exhibitor. 2. Subject Matter The main focus of each entry must be of a bird or birds. 3. Categories Both black and white and colour prints may be entered. The categories are: Senior, Junior, Professional. Note: professional entries will be judged separately. 4. Print Size Standard digital print size - 15cm wide x 10cm high Larger photos will also be judged. 5. Digital Photos Only original photos submited in digital format will be considered for input into the journal. (straight from the camera) 6. Labelling All entries must include the name of species plus the photographer's name, address and phone number on an label pre written before sticking to the back of each entry. (do not write directly on the back of the photo) 7. Deadline for Entries Entries must be lodged by Wednesday 25th July 2012. 8. Return of Photos Requested by Exhibitors Entries will be returned to exhibitors only if a self-addressed, stamped envelope [or label with address and correct postage] is provided by the exhibitor. Alternatively entries can be collected at the closure of the exhibition. All images become the property of the Avicultural Society of Australia Inc. Entries that have not been collected or do not include return postage become the property of the Avicultural Society of Australia Incorporated. 9. Judging The competition will be judged prior to the Society's monthly meeting on Wednesday 26th September 2012 when all entries will be on display. The winning entries in each section will be announced at this meeting. The Judge's decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into. 10. Number of Entries There is a limit of six entries per member. 11. Liability Every effort will be made to protect photographs that are submitted for the competition, however, the Avicultural Society of Australia Incorporated will not be responsible for any damage incurred during handling or while photos are on display. 12. Refusal The Avicultural Society of Australia Incorporated reserves the right to refuse any entry. 13. Transporting and Handling All photos must be enclosed between cardboard or folders to prevent damage during transportation and/or handling. 14. Prizes Photo Taken with Digital Camera or Normal Camera First - Certificate and two year's society membership Second - Certificate Third - Certificate 16. Publication in Australian Aviculture All photos will be eligable to be published in Australian Aviculture during the following year providing they meet both publication requirements and printing quality control. 17.
