The Avicultural Society of Australia Inc. supports its members in the breeding and conservation of aviary held birds.
It has over 1000 members throughout Australia and Overseas.
Monthly meetings are held in Melbourne and at various country branches within the state of Victoria.

The Society meets at 8pm on the fourth Wednesday of each month.
(Except December) at our meeting place in
"The Pines Learning Centre" 520 Blackburn Road, East Doncaster Melway Ref 34 D5
Enter via Entrance South Side of the building
The Hall is located just north of Reynolds Road in Blackburn Road
behind the Pines Shopping Complex

Once again I am writing on behalf of our Treasurer Warwick Remington,
A member paid $45 by direct deposit on the 4th of January
This is OK as the Society now has the money, but we cannot send the member their
Journal's in future as the only details included were 010241
If you are that member please contact Warwick on 0407 348 203 urgently.
We intend to get the bank to investigate the issue, and as there is a $40 cost,
We will need to be reimbursed
Please make sure if you are paying in this way that you follow the requests


Aviary Visit and Moonlit Sanctuary Tour
The Society is celebrating its 75th Year throughout 2016 with a number of special events.
An Aviary visit to Rosebud and a tour of Moonlit Sanctuary is to be held on
Saturday the 19th of March is the first of these events.
The Aviary visit at Rosebud will begin at 10am and the group will leave the venue at 11.15 am and travel to Moonlit Sanctuary located at 550 Tyabb-Tooradin Road, Pearcedale arriving at around 12noon
where we will enjoy a BBQ/Sausage Sizzle followed by a Tour of the Sanctuary. Registration for the day is required for all those attending (members only)
and John Pope (9754 1151, 0419 691 868 or johnpope23@bigpond.com) will take the names and details of those members who wish to be part of an interesting day.
The cost of admission to the Sanctuary will be...
Adults-$16, Concession-$14.40, Pensioners-$12.80, Child (4-15yrs)-$8, Family (2A+2C, Extra Child $6.50)-$40.40.

Every full member (with journal) receives the monthly journal Australian Aviculture. Which contains a comprehensive range of articles of interest to aviculturists written by both Australian and international aviculturists and veterinarians.
